Free concerts featuring sacred music of Bach with soloists, choir and orchestra

AUDITIONS for the Bach Concert Choir will be held by appointment from July 1 through August 30. Experienced singers should call T. Herbert Dimmock, music director, at 717-533-6873

All concerts begin with an illustrated lecture demonstrating Bach's musical language. Guest speakers highlight Lutheran theological understandings of the texts. Then, the work is presented in its entirety. New this season, each concert will also include a major organ work by one of the region's leading organists on the new Andover Organ Opus 114.

Concerts are performed by the Bach Festival Orchestra, T. Herbert Dimock, Music Director and Conductor. The Bach Concert Choir is comprised of 40 highly skilled volunteer singers and is joined by professional soloists.
