The mission of Faith Formation at Christ Lutheran Church is to provide a welcoming and loving environment which will help each of us:

  • Understand what it means to be an ELCA Lutheran type of Christian.
  • Make the Christian faith meaningful in our daily lives.
  • Build and participate in the Christian community.
  • Nurture Christian hope for themselves and all people.

Birth-2 years Old

Children learn and play together in the nursery and begin getting exposed to bible stories and hearing the Good News of God’s love for them.

3 years Old Through 5th Grade Sunday School

In a one-room school house environment, children learn and teach one another through a curriculum that teaches the bible through stories, crafts, and games.

6th-8th Grade Confirmation

In middle school, young people move up to the third floor for a three year program of Confirmation. The curriculum rotates between a year of Old Testament, a year of New Testament, and a year of Lutheran Foundations. In the Fall of their 9th grade year, young people who have completed the curriculum and wish to be included as full members of the congregation are Confirmed in worship on Reformation Sunday.

High School Youth Group

High School students gather in the youth room to explore each week’s worship texts through a contemporary lens. In addition, retreats, lock-ins, and service projects help to reinforce the foundations of our faith as we explore together what it means to be Christians.

Adult Education

Sunday morning education for adults is available throughout the program year (September-May) at 9:45am. Topics are many and various and often feature lay leaders providing their expertise. Bible studies are available on Wednesday nights, and a newly formed “Pub Theology” group gathers off-site once a month to dig in to some of the tough questions of our faith.
