Luke Warner

Pastoral Intern

Luke grew up out west, mostly in Colorado, California, and the Pacific Northwest, but always close to mountains. After college he worked as a web application programmer, but simultaneously found himself drawn to contemplative spiritual formation, theology, and new expressions of church in a rapidly shifting world. For the last decade, he has tried to creatively bring faith, technology, and community development together. In Seattle Luke was a pastor with Community Dinners  and intimately involved with spiritual care, liturgy creation, and teaching at Church of the Apostles, an ELCA mission development. He has studied with Wesley Seminary in Washington DC, United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, PA, and the Center for Action and Contemplation  in Albuquerque, NM.

Luke’s wife, Christina, is a Midwesterner who grew up in Chicago, but her heart has always been focused globally. That passion led her to study international public health and live in Bangladesh, Uganda, and Belize. She finds great meaning in building relationships with people across  all spectrums of life and finding creative approaches to increase the level of health for whole communities.

Luke and Christina have been married for (almost) 6 years and have lived in Washington DC, Seattle, Belize- now they are excited for their next chapter in Baltimore. Luke enjoys reading and sports; Christina runs marathons and loves animals, and they both have became coffee snobs after living in Seattle! During their free time, they enjoy hiking, biking, running, and getting outside.
